Quiet time {Nantucket Pet Photography}

It is so deliciously quiet around here these days. The type of quiet that is refreshing, restorative and welcomed.

I have been doing a lot of reading about photography, creativity, pushing boundaries.

I decided to push through my comfort zone this morning and shoot at a higher ISO, completely throwing the “but it will be noisy” cautionary statement out of my head.

Not as noisy as I thought. A little distracting, but not something that would make me click and drag the photo into the bucket.

I enjoyed shooting a bit differently than usual…I know, I know, big deal..so I  bumped the ISO…but to me, the scientist turned photography afficionado, it is a big deal to step outside that little comfort zone. It felt good to be naughty…to go against the grain (no pun intended).

When push comes to shove though, I believe I will always take quiet over noise, no matter how exciting or interesting it may be for a short while :)
